KYUSHO & TUITE JUTSU

The Deadly Art of Advanced Pressure Point Fighting

Kyusho & Tuite Jutsu (Japanese equalivalent to the Chinese Dim Mak) were the secret arts and science behind most martial arts techniques today; however, it’s prestige has been hindered as some have misinterpreted the true meaning of some ancient philosophies. It utilises the the Sciences of Acupuncture and The Five Element Theory to produce maximised effect.

Acupuncture points are not some random array of points located on the body. They are situated on "meridians" that each have an associated system of body function and an element (except for the two non-lateral meridians & the Chinese extraordinary pathways). They are points that have been carefully chosen to represent points of weakness on the body where the flow of blood and Ki (life-energy) become disrupted and, consequently, manipulation of these points can be used to harm or to heal. Generally, these points reside where nerves and blood vessels cross and so interaction between the two can confuse the body.

Famously, these points can be used to knock out an opponent, shut down the nervous system, aid in dislocating joints, breaking bones and even killing! The healing side of acupuncture is a knowledge prerequisite in order to fully understand the philosophy of the harm; similar to Yin Yang philosophy. In Zen Ha Kenpo we do a complete study of Kyusho Jutsu & Kuatsu with energy revival. Sensei Rogers holds a 7th Dan from The Dragon Society (http://dragonsociety.com/) for his knowledge and use of pressure points in Jujitsu.

This is a fascinating side of our art to study. We run regular training courses, taking the student step by step though the various levels of our in-depth courses and workshops. This is also taught at our elite black belt club to all our Senior Grades within Zen Ha Kenpo.
