Many other students from other clubs were to come to the Lowlands to seek knowledge from Soke Blundell, uniting with him, and so the Lowlands became the birthplace of the British Ju Jitsu Association GB. He was the first person to introduce a syllabus and grading system from white to black belt. Many other clubs today now use the same type of system. Today the Lowlands is run by his son Prof. Kenneth James Blundell 7th Dan. the Lowlands Ju Jitsu Association has links with the BJJA GB, and with the UNNJ (United Nations of Ju-Jitsu).
